- Sub: The Debugger does MacApp
-
- The Debugger does MacApp
-
- A recent feature addition to "The Debugger V2 & MacNosy" that is now shipping
- with current versions of it is:
-
- the ability to build one's MacApp (2.0b9) application in "SADe NON-Debug" mode
- and have access to an object inspector in The Debugger,
- and writeLn's go to a window in the Debugger.
- This is in addition to source level debugging for MPW 3.x compiled & Linked
- programs.
-
- Yes, The Debugger also does C++.
-
- As an example of the differences between a debug and non debug builds both with
- "SYM ON", I saved 150K in the size of DrawShapes and shaved 20 seconds off the
- time to do a full Link (which one only does a small percentage of the time
- because of the "Incremental Build System" that comes with The Debugger).
-
- Current registered owners of The Debugger who want an update with these
- features prior to the December 89 mailing should contact me via AppleLink or
- otherwise.
